PPUK — HOMEPAGE: link the Aquarium tile
======================================================================
*** THIS IS A FIND-AND-REPLACE INSIDE YOUR EXISTING HOMEPAGE BLOCK. ***
*** DO NOT paste it as a new section. DO NOT paste it over anything. ***
Open the homepage Custom Liquid section that contains `#ppukhome`
(section id: template--31242115449177__custom_liquid_KcUCi9).
Find the SIXTH tile in the `.cgrid` — the one that says
"Aquarium & Tissue Culture". Replace that one element only.
Everything else on the page stays exactly as it is.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
FIND (the sixth tile — note it has NO href and NO arrow, which is why
it is the only one that isn't clickable)
----------------------------------------------------------------------
(Your source may have it on one line or with different whitespace.
The three things that identify it: class="cat" with no href, the
linear-gradient background, and the "Aquarium & Tissue Culture" h3.)
----------------------------------------------------------------------
REPLACE WITH
----------------------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------------------
THREE CHANGES, AND WHY
----------------------------------------------------------------------
1. `href="/collections/aquarium"` added. The tile had no href at all,
which is why it was the only one you couldn't click.
2. `
Aquarium & Tissue Culture
Carpeting, midground & background — coming soon→
Aquarium Plants
Carpet, foreground, midground & background — in weekly→
` added. The other five tiles all
have it; this one didn't, so it looked different for no reason.
3. Wording changed from "coming soon" to the real range. 248 products
are live in that collection now.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
ABOUT THE TILE IMAGE — READ THIS
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The other five tiles use photographs:
Marginal Plants Iris_louisana_Andy_Dandy.jpg
Water Lilies shutterstock_589216715.jpg
Oxygenating Plants Hornwort.jpg
Floating & Deep Water Hydrocharis_morsus_ranae_2.jpg
Aquatic Baskets (a photo)
This one uses a navy gradient, so it will still look like the odd one
out even once it links properly.
I did not pick a photo for you, and here is the honest reason: I went
through the images on the aquarium products and they are nearly all
supplier cut-outs on a plain white background. Dropped into this tile,
a white cut-out would look worse than the gradient does — it would read
as a broken image next to five lush photographs.
Two options:
(a) Leave the gradient. It's on-brand and deliberate-looking. Fine.
(b) Send me a tank photo, or the URL of one already on your Shopify
Files, and I'll drop it in. Then the line becomes:
======================================================================
WHILE I WAS IN THERE — TWO THINGS TO KNOW
======================================================================
1. ALL TEN AQUARIUM COLLECTIONS ARE NOW LIVE AND CORRECTLY HANDLED.
Checked against the live store today. Product counts:
aquarium ............ 248
beginner-plants ..... 165
midground ........... 134
foreground ...........47
background ...........37
red-plants ...........26
terrarium ............20
plants-on-decor ......19
carpet-plants ........11
bulb-aquarium ........11
Every handle matches what the collection TOP block expects. Nothing
to change there.
2. YOU ALSO CREATED `floating-aquarium` (10 products). It is NOT in the
TOP block's card list, so it currently gets no card on the aquarium
page. To add it, append this to the end of the `cats` string in
ppuk-collection-aquarium-TOP.liquid, after `...bioactive setups`:
;floating-aquarium|Floating|Surface floaters for shade, cover and fry
That makes ten cards, which fills the 3-across grid neatly with no
gap on the last row. Your call.
3. HONESTY CHECK — one of your aquarium product images is an infographic
headed "Our Aquarium Plants", and the strip along the bottom reads
"Live freshwater aquarium plants · NURSERY GROWN · Ready to plant".
This range is bought in weekly, not nursery grown. That graphic is on
several products. It contradicts what we agreed the aquarium pages
would say, and it is the kind of claim a trade buyer checks. Either
the graphic needs editing or the range's story does.
