Alternanthera sessilis

Alternanthera sessilis is a highly adaptable and fast-growing aquatic plant that is known for its striking coloration, which can range from deep reds to vibrant greens depending on the variety and conditions. This species is often used in background placements in aquascapes due to its tall, upright growth habit. While it can be grown submerged, Alternanthera sessilis is also popular in paludariums and emersed setups, where it tends to grow even more vigorously. CO2 and high light levels are recommended to maintain its vibrant colors and fast growth. This plant is ideal for aquarists looking to add bold colors and texture to their tanks with a species that can thrive in a variety of conditions.
