Cabomba piauhyensis

Cabomba piauhyensis (Red Cabomba) is an attractive stem plant with finely divided, fan-shaped leaves that can develop reddish tones under strong lighting. Its delicate foliage creates a graceful, flowing appearance in planted aquariums while providing valuable cover for shrimp, fry and small fish.

Best suited to tropical aquariums, Red Cabomba benefits from moderate to high lighting, nutrient-rich water and added CO₂ to encourage stronger growth and more intense colouration. Its fast-growing stems make it an excellent background plant for creating depth and texture, although regular trimming may be required to maintain a compact and healthy appearance.
