Cabomba pulcherrima

Cabomba pulcherrima, commonly known as Purple Cabomba, is an eye-catching aquatic plant with finely divided, feathery leaves that range from green to deep purple. This plant adds a burst of color to aquascapes, making it a popular choice for background placement, where its tall, bushy growth can provide visual depth and contrast against other plants. Cabomba pulcherrima thrives in high-light environments and requires CO2 supplementation for optimal growth and to maintain its rich purple hues. Its fast growth rate means regular trimming is necessary to prevent it from overwhelming the tank. Due to its light and nutrient requirements, Purple Cabomba is best suited for experienced aquarists who can provide the stable conditions it needs to flourish. When well-cared for, this plant adds a dramatic, vibrant effect to any aquascape.
