Fissidens fontanus

Fissidens fontanus, commonly known as Fontinalis Moss, is a charming and versatile aquatic moss that adds a soft, natural look to any aquarium. Its delicate, feathery leaves grow in dense clumps, providing a lush habitat for small fish and invertebrates. This moss is excellent for attaching to rocks, driftwood, or creating a carpet effect on the substrate. Fissidens fontanus is easy to care for, adapting well to various water conditions, which makes it a popular choice among aquarists. While it can thrive without CO2, adding it can enhance its growth rate and overall vibrancy. With moderate lighting, this moss flourishes, making it a great addition to aquascapes where a natural, soft texture is desired.
