Ranunculus hederaceus

Ranunculus hederaceus, commonly known as ivy-leaved crowfoot, is a low-growing, creeping perennial with small, glossy, ivy-shaped green leaves forming dense mats along damp ground. In spring to early summer it produces tiny yellow flowers above the foliage, creating delicate splashes of colour in wet habitats and along pond margins.

This species thrives in consistently moist or shallowly wet soil and provides ecological value by supporting pollinators such as bees and small insects. Its creeping habit and tolerance of wet conditions make it ideal for pond edges, bog gardens, and naturalistic or wildlife-focused plantings.
