Rumex hydrolapathum
£1.00
Rumex hydrolapathum, commonly known as great water dock, is a very tall, robust marginal perennial with large, elongated green leaves forming imposing clumps along waterways. In summer it produces tall, branched stems topped with dense panicles of green flowers that rise well above the foliage, giving strong vertical impact in wet landscapes.
This species is highly valuable for wildlife, providing habitat and food for insects and birds in wetland environments. Its vigorous growth and tolerance of permanently wet or shallowly flooded soils make it ideal for large ponds, lakesides, riversides, and natural wetland restoration schemes.
