Scirpus tabernaemontani 'Zebrinus', commonly known as striped club-rush, is a tall marginal aquatic perennial with upright, cylindrical green stems banded with horizontal yellow stripes, creating a striking architectural feature along pond edges and in wet gardens. In summer it produces brown, spike-like flowers held above the foliage, adding subtle texture to the vertical stems.

This cultivar thrives in shallow water or consistently moist soil and provides ecological value by offering habitat for insects and wetland wildlife. Its vigorous, upright habit and tolerance of waterlogged conditions make it ideal for pond margins, lakesides, and naturalistic or wildlife-focused planting schemes.
