Asclepias incarnata

Asclepias incarnata, commonly known as swamp milkweed, is an upright, clump-forming perennial with narrow, lance-shaped green leaves and a bushy, airy habit. In mid to late summer, it produces clusters of fragrant, star-shaped pink flowers that attract a wide range of pollinators, including bees, butterflies, and especially monarch butterflies.

The plant is ecologically valuable, serving as a host for monarch caterpillars and a nectar source for other pollinating insects. Its preference for moist soils and striking flower clusters make it ideal for wildlife gardens, pond edges, and naturalistic wetland plantings.
