Nupar Lutea

Nuphar lutea, commonly known as Brandy Bottle, is a vigorous native aquatic perennial with large, heart-shaped green leaves that float on the water's surface. Throughout summer it produces distinctive golden-yellow, cup-shaped flowers that stand just above the water, adding bold colour and structure to larger ponds and lakes.

This species thrives in deeper, still water and provides valuable shade and shelter for fish, amphibians, and aquatic insects while helping to reduce algae growth. Its robust growth habit and attractive floating foliage make it an excellent choice for natural ponds, wildlife habitats, and larger water gardens.
