Schizostylis coccinea 'Mrs Hegarty'

Schizostylis coccinea 'Mrs Hegerty', commonly known as Mrs Hegerty Kaffir lily, is a clump-forming marginal perennial with narrow, strap-like green leaves forming upright tufts. In late summer to autumn it produces salmon pink, funnel-shaped flowers that rise above the foliage, adding vibrant late-season colour to damp borders and pond edges.

This cultivar thrives in consistently moist or shallowly wet soil and provides ecological value by attracting bees and other pollinators. Its upright, clump-forming habit and tolerance of damp conditions make it ideal for pond margins, bog gardens, and naturalistic planting schemes.
